Most of us are already aware about the importance of working out yet we fail to push ourselves into doing it. What is stopping us from working out?

Here are a few excuses that are commonly used by us.

  • I don’t have time.
  • I don’t have the money
  • I don’t know where to begin
  • I don’t have the energy
  • I am too old
  • It’s boring doing it by myself
  • It requires too much dedication

“To get something done, we must first get started”.

So let’s start with changing our attitude and getting rid of those excuses.

  • Write down your schedule, you can always make time for exercising
  • You can workout anywhere without any equipment.
  • The internet is a great place to get knowledge
  • Exercising gives you energy, it will help you feel better.
  • No one is too old for working out, there are people in their 80’s who are into bodybuilding.
  • Find a partner or  create a sick playlist.
  • The results will be worth the hard work.

  Endorphins and exercise.

Endorphins are neurotransmitters that are made in the brain, spinal cord and many other body parts of the body. These neurotransmitters are released when we exercise, creating a euphoric high which is also called the ‘runners high’. This is the reason why you feel better after working out.

The impact of regular exercise

  • Muscles: more blood is pumped in to them, overtime they become bigger and stronger.
  • Heart : As you become more fit , the heart will be able to supply more oxygenated blood to muscles. Gradually your blood pressure decreases as new blood vessels are formed.
  • Brain : Exercise promotes growth of new brain cells, this can boost memory , focus and learning.
  • Joints and bones : exercise helps maintain healthy bones which is important since bone mass decreases with old age. This can prevent osteoporosis.
  • Regular exercise has been proven to reduce anxiety, stress and depression. It has also been proved to boost self esteem and improve your sleep.

Overall, it rejuvenates your entire body and makes you feel much better about yourself. So get up right now and rewrite your schedules. Dedicate at least 30-40 mins for working out each day. Join a gym or find a good place to workout , find someone who can work out with you , create a playlist and finally ,

GET STARTED.
