 Exercising also helps in eliminating the visceral fat in our body that surrounds our organs such a kidneys, liver, pancreas. Excess visceral fat in your body increases your risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, dementia. 

Hence it is very important to incorporate exercising in our daily schedules. 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD WE EXERCISE? 

 According to world health organization:  

150 mins of moderate intensity activity per week  OR 

75 mins of vigorous intensity aerobic activity 

With muscle strengthening activity for 2 or more days a week 

TYPES OF EXERCISE:  

There are two main types of exercises 

  • Aerobic exercise 

A level of activity that you can maintain for a long period of time. Also known as cardio. 

  • Anaerobic exercise 

Short and intense activity that uses maximum effort and cannot be maintained for long periods of            time. 

Overall any move that increases your heart rate and gives you enough pleasure to motivate you to do it everyday is good for you. Its important to remember to enjoy any activity that you take up so that you feel good about yourself.
