Fact: everything that looks drool worthy, smells wonderful and tastes absolutely delicious always occupies the top charts for being the unhealthiest. You might have a vague idea about how bad junk food/fast food can be for your health but do you know which food items of that category are packed with the most number of calories?

1) Milkshakes

If you stay in a scorching hot country like India you then you must know how difficult it is to prevent yourself from constantly binging on ice creams and milkshakes. There is nothing more satisfying than a chilled glass of milkshake after a terrible day at college or work. Though these milkshakes are extremely tempting you should limit their consumption since one thick milkshake made with ice cream can have around 400-600 calories. The calorie count can go up to 800-1000 depending on the ingredients used.

2) Donuts

If you’re obsessed with donuts as much as I am then get ready to get your heart broken. One donut contains around 200-400 calories and since just one is never sufficient, you consume approximately 800 calories every time you go to Dunkin donuts or Krispy crème.

3) Burgers

Burgers are the ultimate kings of fast food joints. An average American eats 3 hamburgers in a week. McDonalds sells 75 burgers each second and feeds approximately 68 million people around the world in just one day. Nobody realizes the number of calories and unhealthy fat one consumes when gorging on these sinfully good burgers. A medium size burger has around 300-400 calories while the double layered cheeseburgers can contain 600-800 calories.

4) Ice cream

If you think the above facts were shocking, then this is going to be a hard one for you. No matter how much you try to deny it, the fact that ice creams are the worst desserts for your health will not change… One scoop of vanilla ice cream contains 207 calories. Fancy sundaes from places like Cold Stone and Baskin Robbins contain 400-800 calories.  An occasional binge is fine but if you’re an addict then you’ll have to reconsider every scoop.

5) French fries

French fries are the most preferred forms of potatoes and a definite universal favorite. There’s no such thing as ‘too many fries’. Fries can be found in almost all of the restaurants and movie theatres. One medium sized pack of French fries contains 350 calories. Loaded fries have become popular recently and they contain not less that 600-800 calories.

7)Pizza

I don’t know about the unhealthy chart but pizza definitely ranks #1 in my favorite food chart. There is nothing more drool worthy than a hot pizza with overloaded cheese that melts in your mouth. If you’re already tempted then stop yourself because one slice of large pizza contains 280 calories. Since an average person eats 2-3 slices at a time, they’re consuming 560-840 calories at one time.
